Wholehearted

2010, written for those of us who need healing.

The first piece remained misplaced with her previous love. He was the only justification for her countless tears;

 

The second piece was rediscovered by her closest friend. She helped her sever sentiment from the heartfelt years;

 

The third piece was rediscovered by numerous acquaintances. Their sweet words would restrain her hope;

 

The fourth piece was rediscovered by religion. Her new-found faith in God helped her cope;

 

The fifth piece was rediscovered by her family. They refused to witness one of their own fall;

 

The sixth piece was rediscovered in time which, through its course, heals us all;

 

The seventh piece was rediscovered within the four walls she calls home. Home is where the heart is;

 

The eighth piece was rediscovered by her true love. He was the one to thieve the other seven pieces and make them his.
